Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, who is best known for his role as David Metcalfe in the ITV soap, has undergone a major hair transformation leaving fans shocked.
The village shop keeper was forced to sell his shop amid the current economic crisis in recently scenes, however, fans were more distracted by the actors hair transformation.
Matthew Wolfenden's trademark has been long blonde locks but now the fan favourite has chopped his locks and fans cannot believe his new look, the Daily Star reports.

Fans quickly took took to their keyboards to express their shock and it's clearly divided viewers. One fan said: "Has David had a haircut since last night?"
A second penned: "Liking David’s new haircut, he just needs to stop whinging…", while a third said: "David’s hair looks sooo different but can’t decide whether that’s a good or bad thing…"
While another Emmerdale viewer tweeted: ""David had enough money for a haircut!" as they made a quip about his current crisis. It comes after his dad, Eric Pollard, refused to bail him out.
"If only David had shown as much interest in his business as his love life he wouldn't have to sell up!" another viewer noted.
While someone else fumed: "Oh David’s shop is going bust, let me just find a sh** to give… oh I can’t find any! I don’t know why #Emmerdale keep giving him screen time."
