Emmerdale fans were left shocked tonight after David Metcalfe and and Victoria Sugden finally returned to the village after months away.
The two actors, Matthew Wolfenden and Isabel Hodgins, were temporarily written out of the soap after a filming rift occured followed by a race row.
An Emmerdale spokesman said at the time: “While we would never comment on individual cases, Emmerdale has robust policies in place to deal with any allegations brought to our attention and take the appropriate steps.”

But on Friday's episode, David and Victoria came back and looked incredibly different.
Matthew Wolfenden's trademark has been long blonde locks but now, he's shaved his head and bleached his hair.
Isobel Hodgins also looks different with her hair now in a bob but it's definitely not been as much of a shocking transformations.
Fans quickly took took to their keyboards to express their shock and it's clearly divided viewers.
@PurplePinkMama tweeted: "Loving David's new look. Shorter hair is defo for him"
But @unsworth1live clearly disagreed, writing: "what the hell has happened to David’s hair.
"An accident with a bottle of peroxide maybe?"
@MeeshyJay seemed to be unsure too, commenting: "David trying to look edgy with a new look."
@ChurchieBoy1986b joked: "David thinks he's Justin Timberlake" whilst @a___w89 added: "What on earth happened to David’s hair."

@IanMead64432817 quipped: "David has been taking inspiration from his Action Man figure he had when he was a kid.
The pair moved into the shop, clearly excited as they took over from David's son Jacob.
