Emmerdale viewers have been sharing their theories on what happened to Charles Anderson, after the village vicar was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious on Monday night's episode. The shocking moment had many fans taking to Twitter trying to work out how the storyline would unfold.
Charles (Kevin Mathurin), who first joined the village in late 2020, was found lying on the church floor by his partner Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) just moments after she had overheard him having a heated discussion with his daughter Naomi (Karene Peter). Manpreet watched on as Naomi stormed out of the building and after going in to check on her partner, Manpreet found Charles unconscious with an injury to his head, The Mirror reports.
Manpreet was followed into the church by former vicar turned local police officer Harriet Finch, and the paramedics quickly came to take Charles to the hospital. On seeing the emergency services arrive a shaken Naomi headed back to the church to see if he was ok, but was met by an upset Manpreet who was convinced Naomi was behind Charles' injuries.
