Emmerdale fans are convinced Sam Dingle won't die tonight - but someone else will in a cruel twist of fate.
The ITV soap aired some horrifying scenes last night, as Nate, Belle and Sam were caught in a cow stampede.
As they ran away from the danger presenting themselves, Sam found himself badly injured after he impaled himself on a spike.
The storm has caused quite a lot of chaos already, with one death already confirmed.
Harriet Finch died in a quad bike accident as the storm hit the village whilst Faith Dingle also died after taking her own life amid her breast cancer battle.
Now fans of the ITV soap are giving their verdict on what will happen next - and they insist Sam won't be the one to die.
"Sam got impaled on a tractor. Nate will probably die of undiagnosed internal injuries and Liam will stick a plaster on Sam’ shoulder and he’ll be fine and seeing to the pigs on Friday," one wrote.
In response, a second agreed, adding their own opinion: "Was thinking that myself. The fact that Nate said he only had hurt his wrist, I kind of though 'oh he said the only word'. There's never an only in Emmerdale."
"I think Nate is going to die (possibly from internal injuries)," a third shared, with a fourth writing: "I thought being trampled by a herd of cows would’ve done it but Nate just got up with a sprained ankle but then Sam’s spike was a shock!!"
Whilst Sam's condition remains unknown, the actor who plays him, James Hooton, has opened up about his character's fate - and done nothing to reassure fans he makes it out alive after the horror accident.
"I was told this was happening and you don't know what the outcome is gonna be for a story such as this. It was good, it was really interesting. The costume team went all out to try and deal with this spike, it looks ultra realistic when you see it on screen," he said.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards 2022, Charles Anderson actor Kevin Mathurin teased fans would be "surprised" by which villagers end up being affected by the storm - and that there's more death to come.
"I think you will be surprised by who is going to be affected, you will be surprised," he warned.
"There is gonna be a lot of tragedy and through that, it's gonna bring the village together. All the differences we have had with families, the feuds and stuff is gonna culminate and be irrelevant, compared to the aftermath of the storm. It is going to be a busy time for Charles, gathering people around to help out and bring camaraderie, and there are a few funerals to come."
