Emmerdale viewers believe they have worked out what returning character Sandra Flaherty is up to, after cryptic scenes on the ITV soap.
Liv Flaherty's mother shocked her and her husband Vinny Dingle when she rocked up in the village in recent scenes, claiming to want Liv's help to beat her alcohol addiction.
Vinny wasn't sure about her being around, as she's caused nothing but trouble for Liv in the past.
But after Liv caught her drinking and staggering around in the graveyard, she decided she couldn't give up on her mum.
Later, Liv and Sandra had a heart-to-heart and Sandra told her she needed her help.
Liv decided to let her mum stay for a bit much to Vinny's annoyance, and Sandra seemed grateful for the offer.
But she was then heard speaking on the phone to a mystery person, who appeared to be demanding money from her.
As she spoke she told the mystery person that she said she'd call when she could, as if she was being hassled.
It's then that she made it clear that they would "get their money" and that everything was "in hand".
Vinny caught her on the phone but while he seemed alarmed by the call, he didn't raise the issue with Liv or anyone.
Viewers now think they've worked out what is going on, and why Sandra is really in the village.
It could mean heartache for Liv, as they speculated she wasn't there for help at all, and didn't even care about her daughter.
Taking to Twitter, fans guessed Sandra was actually after Liv's money, and might even try to get her house.
One viewer commented: "I knew the moment Sandra turned up she was after Liv's Money."
A second agreed: "Sandra is going to scam liv," as a third added: "She’s after money."
Another viewer commented: "Sandra wants the get her hands on the house," as a fifth wrote: "Get all the money that she can."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
