Emmerdale fans have been left fearing the worst for Emmerdale's Leyla Harding after her drug dealer paid her a threatening surprise visit.
Leyla has headed into dangerous territory as her drug habit could soon be exposed as she continues to spiral out of control.
In Tuesday night’s episode, Jai Sharma's old dealer found Leyla at Take A Vow, leaving her shocked he had managed to track her down.
She was then tempted when he offered her a deal on some cocaine, and despite feeling guilty about taking it, she managed to hide the two bags of drugs from an oblivious Suzy (Martelle Edinborough).
Later on at the Hide, a coked-up Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) offered to pay for everyone’s food as a suspicious Suzy looked on, aware that Leyla was acting out of character.
At the end of the episode, Suzy confronted Leyla over how dangerous her addiction has become, pointing out that her dealer was coming directly to her office — where anyone could see him.
"What is wrong with you?" Suzy demanded. "You said you were stopping. You told me you were done!"
Despite feeling judged, Leyla defended her actions and insisted she could "take or leave" the cocaine, in apparent denial over the reality of her addiction.
"Did you know I've had the year from hell? So, you know what? If I need a little bump to get me through a night out, I think that's my business!"
Leyla walked away after insisting she could quit anytime she wanted, leaving Suzy concerned knowing that wasn't the truth.
But Emmerdale viewers have been left certain the situation is too good to be true, with many fearful that Leyla could soon overdose from drugs.
Taking to Twitter, one fan predicted: “She’s gonna overdose and it’ll all come out,” as another wrote: “Leyla is going to end up overdosing, if she continues. smh.”
A third tweeted: “So is Leyla going to beat Faith to the hospital bed they have reserved for the residents of Emmerdale?”
Elsewhere on Tuesday’s episode, Cain and Chas clashed over Faith's decision to continue with her chemo, leaving Chas guilty when her brother called her out for making her terminally ill mum’s decision for her.
Meanwhile, Sarah struggled with the thought of Faith not being around for her, as she deals with the thought of her own illness.
