As the Chloe/Mack/Charity love triangle story rumbles on in Emmerdale, fans were thrilled tonight when savvy Sarah confronted Chloe - having sussed that Mack was the father.
Chloe and Mack have had to contend with more than a few awkward moments, as Chloe has moved in with Mack and Charity. It meant that the pair have had to work hard to keep their secret, right under the nose of Mack's other half.
But Sarah spotted the pair arguing and deduced that they were more involved than they are letting on. She wasted no time in confronting Chloe, who told a barefaced lie to get out of the sticky situation.

Sarah approached Chloe as she was tidying the house, explaining that Charity had been making her feel really welcome and she wanted to do something to say thanks. "And Mackenzie?" Sarah quizzed, to which Chloe replied: "Yeah, him too..." With a subtle roll of the eyes.
Sarah continued the questioning, asking: "So he's not been trying to get you to move out then?" And Chloe, looking perplexed, told her no. But Sarah came right out with her suspicions: "I think he's been lying to me. Is he the father of that baby? Look I saw you two rowing, was that about the baby?"

Though Chloe said no, Sarah continued: "You never told me who the father was...You swear to me it isn't Mack?" Chloe then doubled down on her denial. She said: "Yes, I swear. Eurgh, I would never do that to Charity...or to you, you're like family. I can't believe you think I would do something like that."
Viewers at home were impressed that Sarah had sussed it, but many were angry that Chloe would lie like that to her best friend. Others said that Sarah is just like her mum. @RyanTheSoapKing said: "Sarah really is Debbie Dingle's daughter -[clapping emojis] If Debbie was here she'd question Chloe and Mack straight away and would know exactly what is going on. She'd send Mack packing and try and knock some sense into Charity. Sarah carries her mother's instincts."
@LeroyStHillwell said: "Excellent work Sarah. Debbie would be proud". @ASuperGav said: "Young Sarah has sussed it, but Charity hasn’t? Seems highly improbable".
@KayleighAnslow said: "S**t Sarah's fathomed it out that Mack is the father of Chloe's unborn baby". Adding: "Chloe don't lie, Sarah's got it all figured out".
@KayleighAnslow added: "I wonder if Sarah will tell Charity about Mack". @Jamal06122771 said: "Wrong mistake Chloe by not telling Sarah the truth, especially if she is suppose to be your best friend, and what you guys have been through."
Chloe later chastised Mack for making Sarah suspicious, telling him that she'd been forced to "cover" for him. After Mack had moaned that he is getting sick of lying to Charity, Chloe replied: "You need to calm down okay, I've already had to cover for you today. The way you're acting is making suspicious and today Sarah asked if it was your baby."
