Emmerdale fans say they were left shocked by violent scenes that aired on last night's episode (January 17).
Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) has had a difficult time recently, serving a prison stretch after being wrongfully convicted of Ben Tucker's (Simon Lennon) murder.
Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) has been doing all he can to clear her name and it was hoped, after Vinny was taken hostage by Meena and learnt the truth, that there's finally enough evidence to catch the serial killer.

But at the moment, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) can't reveal what her sister has done as she's still unconscious.
Fans weren't happy with how Liv had treated Vinny when he visited the prison to tell her the latest update, but she is understandably frustrated.
Liv is a recovering alcoholic and after hearing of the news and the confirmation she'll be behind bars for longer, she returned to the bottle.
But when she begged her cell mate Mel for some booze, things turned even worse for Liv.
After a vicious beating from Mel, with Liv suffering extensive injuries, viewers were left horrified by the violent scenes.
Taking to their keyboards, fans were quick to express their thoughts with some going as far to say as the soap should have come with a warning.
@senecaco commented: "Really think @emmerdale is overestimating the audience's penchant for violence and blood.
"Too much already. Slow your roll."
@FreVonDan agreed, writing: "I think it's time for Emmerdale to stop hurting Liv.
"It's been non stop and it just feels gratuitous now.
