Emmerdale fans have been left heartbroken for Laurel as she finally found out the extent of Jai's lies.
Jai (Chris Bisson) has been lying to Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) for months about his financial situation. He, as a joint owner of The Hop, was made liable for a £50,000 pay out after they were served with a health and safety suit following the bridge collapse.
Unable to pay it and panicking about his financial situation, Jai took out a loan in Laurel's name without her knowledge.
However, in tonight's episode, fans were left devastated for Laurel as she found out just what Jai had been up to.
Fearing she'll lose her home, Laurel decided to talk to the bank about getting a mortgage for it - but she was told it was not possible as she already had taken out a large loan. Not knowing Jai was behind it, she shared her panic with him.
However, he tried to reassure her that everything would be ok and that she didn't need to escalate it.
Laurel went out for a walk, before deciding that the best thing to do was to go to the police, as she feared she had been a victim of identity fraud. It was then that Jai confessed to her that it was him who took out the loan.
And fans of the ITV soap are devastated for Laurel after Jai's admission.
"OMG this is it. Jai's well & truly screwed once Laurel's application fails & she starts to question exactly why," one wrote.
A second added: "And for the 1st time ever jai has been honest.... kick him out laurel... i never have liked jai. #emmerdale."
"Laurel will go spare at Jai when she finds out Jai has committed fraud #Emmerdale," a third shared, as a fourth penned: "Finally Jai fesses up to Laurel !!! #Emmerdale."
The final moments of tonight's episode of the ITV soap saw Laurel left distraught as she realised what he'd done, with actress Charlotte revealing she fears Laurel could relapse in the coming episodes.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Charlotte said: "Once you’re an addict you’re always an addict. Anything like this can rock them, but we’ll have to see how each of them manages. That’s always the devil on their shoulder, isn’t it?"
"It doesn’t go away just because you’ve stopped taking the drugs or drinking the drink. The temptation is always there. It’s at these points of pressure where people are likely to crack and certainly Jai will come close," Chris added.
