Eagle-eyed Emmerdale viewers were left in disbelief when they spotted a familiar actor playing Meena Jutla's prison guard.
The newcomer was playing the role of Meena Jutla's prison guard after seemingly replacing another officer, however fans quickly noticed that former Waterloo road actor Dean Smith who played the role of Phillip Ryan was in the ITV soap.
During the episode Meena was back to her old tricks as she flirted with the actor who is now playing Prison Officer Beeker.

He was instantly left feeling uncomfortable after Meena’s failed attempt to make him switch sides.
He soon revealed she had a visitor, with Meena's barrister, played by actress Amy Robbins, soon entering the cell to discuss her looming trial.
Beeker was seen pacing the corridor as the barrister and Meena spoke, with him set to feature in more scenes according to spoilers.
However, during the intense scene fans were initially distracted as they recognised the actor playing the role.
Viewers were then stunned as they realised where they had seen the actor before, as others thanked them for cracking the case.
They went straight to social media to share their reactions with @BCCD230499 Tweeting: “Omg that security guard was Phillip in Waterloo road #Emmerdale.”
@JamiePrestigio1 asked: “#Emmerdale I’m a bit late with this, but was that prison guard who spoke to Meena the same guy who played Phillip Ryan in Waterloo Road?”
@CasualtyFan03 said: “OMG Phil from Waterloo Road in #Emmerdale.” @KenzieDUFC commented: “#Emmerdale Phillip Ryan from Waterloo eh.”
While @mrsdazo was grateful someone cracked the case and replied: “Oh thank you!! I knew I knew him from somewhere - even asked the question on here - yep definitely Phillip Ryan as a prison officer haha.”
Actor Dean Smith, is possibly best known for his role in BBC series Waterloo Road, where he played Phillip Ryan between 2009 and 2010, and then again in 2011.
And Emmerdale isn't Dean's only stint in an ITV soap, as he also played Andy Wingfield in Coronation Street for three episodes back in 2019..
