Emmerdale fans blast 'scumbag' Jai as fraud scam exposed

Laurel finally found what had been going on with Jai's financial troubles on tonight's Emmerdale and the truth has left fans seething.

Jai (Chris Bisson) finally confessed that he'd taken out a loan in Laurel's (Charlotte Bellamy) name and the truth clearly left her gutted.

Jai first found himself sinking with money troubles when he was forced to pay £50,000 after the Hop breached a health and safety suit following the bridge collapse.

To deal with it all, he decided the best course of action was take out a loan in Laurel's name - without considering the effect it would have on her.

Refused for a mortgage due to a 'large loan' already being in her name, Laurel was convinced she had been the victim of identity fraud.

And as she looked to go to the police, Jai was forced to confess that he was behind it all.

@Rozzy67 was just as angry, writing: "Jai is an absolute scumbag dump him Laurel, he's bad to the bone that one!"

@Felstedboy directed their tweet directly at Jai, adding: "I hope you are ashamed Jai about Laurel lying for you."

Others were left flabbergasted as Laurel agreed to cover for him, telling the bank she had made a mistake.
