Emmerdale’s Jacob rejected mum Leyla in heart-breaking scenes as viewers were left baffled as Chas Dingle was "missing" from tonight's episode despite her dramatic storyline.
Jacob has been left fighting for his life after he was unexpectedly stabbed by his mum Leyla’s drug dealer after he attempted to confront them.
The situation has now caused a problem with his relationship with his mum and during tonight’s episode of the ITV soap Leyla continues to try to make amends her relationship with Jacob.

But the situation wasn’t straight forward as David and Jacob lied to the police about the stabbing so Leyla and former dealer Callum wouldn’t get in trouble.
While Jacob was recovering well in hospital he called his mum a “junkie" with "no self-control". And as the pair argued back and fourth, Jacob said he was “ashamed” of her and kicked her out of his hospital room.

However some viewers were left wondering why Chas Dingle was not featured in the episode as she is going through one of the most dramatic storylines following her affair secret being exposed, while others asked where Jacob’s "other" mum was.
Leyla’s sister Alicia raised Jacob up as her own son before she left the soap in late 2015. @s6floozy Tweeted: “#Emmerdale How come 'step dad' David and 'biological Mum' Layla never contact the Mum Alicia, who actually brought Jacob up as her own?”
