Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley has teased Caleb's identity - and he has an "inkling" on what the secret might be.
Fans of the ITV soap have been puzzling over what secret Caleb Milligan might be hiding. He arrived in the Dales to visit Cain in prison, keen to quiz his brother on what really happened to their mum after she passed away in sad scenes last October.
Following a few shady phone calls and Caleb revealing his real plan for Home Farm, fans have been speculating what else he might be hiding or who he might be working for, as viewers are desperate to find out what happened.
He told Digital Spy: "I'm not 100 per cent sure what it is, but I've got an inkling – and no, I'm not going to tell you what it is! I'm just thrilled to have a good friend on board in Will. I think the character has got a lot of gravitas, and Will is a fantastic actor."
Jeff enjoys working with Caleb actor Will Ash, as he hopes for a "bit of stability" for Cain and Moira.
Asked what's coming up for his character, he added: "More stuff with Caleb, and hopefully a bit of harmony for Cain and Moira. We don't have many couples in the show that are true to each other.
"It's nice to see a bit of stability. It would be nice to stay away from affairs and stuff. But I'm not a producer or a writer, and the beauty of being in a show like this is there's always a new challenge to play."
It comes after Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson has teased that the Caleb storyline "won't end well".
Speaking in a video on the soap's YouTube page, Jane explained: "I think the other storyline that the viewers are absolutely going to love is Cain and Caleb. What's Caleb's involvement with Cain?
"Does he really want to be Cain's brother or has he got other ulterior motives? I think that's a fascinating dynamic to watch – and whenever we have Home Farm and the villagers coming together in a story, it's just not going to end well at all."
