Emmerdale star Nicola Wheeler, who plays Nicola King on the long running ITV soap, has revealed that she filmed three different endings for the storyline her character is currently enthralled in.
Viewers were left shocked earlier this year when Nicola King suffered a brutal attack, the shocking scenes, which saw the much loved character end up in hospital.
Nicola King was was set upon by by a gang of teens in a deserted carpark after enjoying a night out with half-sister Bernice Blackstock and Laurel Thomas.

One of the girls boldly asked her for booze before they got into a verbal sparring, the conversation soon turned ugly when more teenage girls turned up and cornered Nicola.
She was mugged, beaten and left bloodied on the ground before losing consciousness in the horrifying scenes which saw the girls kick her as she lay defenceless of the ground.
Nicola begged them to stop as one member of the gang continued to kick her while the others laughed and filmed the disgusting attack.
Since the brutal attack back in June Nicola has been having flashbacks, panic attacks and has also developed agoraphobia as she became terrified that the girls would find her again.
In upcoming scenes Nicola's fears will be realised when she comes face to face with one of her attackers, but in an expected twist it is newcomer Naomi, the daughter of village vicar Charles (played by Kevin Mathurin), who recently came to the Dales to get to know her biological father and brother.
In an interview with Metro.co.uk, Nicola revealed: "When the story was first pitched Naomi wasn’t part of it, but then the character of Naomi was coming into the show and I think it was Jane Hudson, the executive producer, who came along and said, 'Why don’t we link the two, so we can bring her in via this way as well?'
The actor explained that because Naomi's role in the story was still being finalised at that point, three different versions of the story were filmed.
She continued: "We filmed three endings of whether Naomi was just looking, whether she was indifferent to the attack and whether she was apologetic and wanted to help me.
"When Karene first came in I don’t think they knew which angle they were going. They knew it was a girl gang, they definitely knew that, but they didn’t know what angle they were going to play it from her point of view."
Viewers will soon see Nicola go to the police after she realises that her her new colleague in the cafe is actually one of the girls who was involved in the attack.
However, she comes under fire from Charles and Ethan (Emile John) for reporting it subsequently causing a ripple effect in the village. Viewers will see the drama unfold over the next couple of weeks.
Nicola teased: "We know this goes into the autumn, if a crime gets reported there have to be further ramifications."
