Emmerdale stars Mark Charnock and Zoe Henry revealed they were reduced to real tears during filming for upcoming scenes which see Marlon walk down the aisle to his bride Rhona, following his devastating stroke.
The emotional scenes saw much-loved chef, Marlon Dingle, stand up out of his wheelchair and struggle to walk down the aisle to say his vows to his wife-to-be, Rhona, after narrowly making it back from hospital in time for his nuptials.

The actor, who has worked closely with the charity, Stroke Association, to give a "realistic and authentic depiction" of Marlon's journey, has been praised by fans for his portrayal of a stroke victim as he takes on the important role of raising awareness.
48-year-old actress, Zoe Henry, who plays Rhona said: "We were in tears. It was brilliantly written and the emotion came naturally for both of us when it was needed. The storyline has been such a difficult watch, but the wedding shows the light.
"Stroke has affected lots of people, including my family, so it’s important we see the light. People need that, soap reflects real life, but it also needs to bring a bit of joy.'
ITV viewers were left in tears earlier this years after scenes of Marlon suffering a stroke aired, the episode, which aired on Monday, March 21, received thousands of comments with some fans even reaching out to the actor after the “powerful” scene.
What made scenes even more heart-breaking was how quickly the day went from seemingly perfect to catastrophic in a matter of moments. Things seemed to be off to a good start as both he and Rhona were overcome with excitement after their joint marriage proposal to each other.
But happiness quickly turned into absolute horror for Marlon when his life suddenly changed forever, it all took a turn for the worse when the chef went home for five minutes and while looking in the mirror suddenly dropped to the floor.
Viewers have watched on as the gripping storyline has progressed with Marlon making improvements in hospital and being released to continue his recovery at home, only to contract aspiration pneumonia and be rushed to hospital again.
It's been an emotional rollercoaster for Marlon and his family, especially Rhona and his daughter April and for viewers alike, but the wedding offers some light at the end of the tunnel for Marlon and his family.
It was important to producers and to the actors that there was also some light relief for viewers in what has been a very difficult storyline. But, *spoiler alert* - it's a tearjerker!
Marlon and Rhona's wedding will air on Thursday, August 12 on ITV.
