Emma Willis declares 'it's official' as she makes observation while sharing rare snap with teen daughter

Emma Willis has said 'it's official' as she shared a rare snap alongside her teen daughter. The Voice host and her musician husband Matt Willis share three children together - Isabelle, Ace and Trixie.

Over the years, presenter Emma and Busted star Matt have been applauded by fans for challenging gender stereotypes in their parenting style and the pair have protected their young kids from the spotlight as they have never shared their faces on social media and rarely talk about their family life in interviews.

Put in her latest social media post, Emma paid tribute to her daughter, who she affectionately calls 'Whizz', as she celebrated her 14th birthday. Taking to Instagram, the TV star posted a photo of herself walking alongside the teen during a recent trip to Disney. Isabelle could be seen sporting Minnie Mouse ears as they walked towards what could possibly be Hollywood studios.

While they had their backs to the camera, the pair showed their closeness as they walked along arm in arm. "My first born is officially taller than me," Emma started the caption of her sweet post to her 1.9 million followers.

"Today she turned 14 and my god, does she make me proud," the former Big Brother host went on to say. "A beautiful soul who is growing into the most incredible young woman. Where the hell has the time gone… Happy birthday Wizz, we love you to infinity and beyond. Stay true, stay you."

Former Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown was among the first to respond to Emma's post, writing in the comments: "Happy birthday Isabelle you really are a very special young lady." This Morning baker Juliet Sear also shared: "Happy birthday!! I remember making her 3rd birthday cake it was a Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse shape? Have fun!!"

It comes after Emma received support from fans after she shared a lengthy message to her followers and also to her husband of 17 years. The post came before Matt left his fans in tears after he was seen in his own documentary. The music star opened up about his struggles with addiction over the years in Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction which aired on BBC One last month.

It saw Matt looks back at some of his "darkest days" as he explored what could be behind his, and other people's, addictions. The film also featured his TV presenter wife, Emma, who openly shared what it was like for her during her early relationship with the musician and when he relapsed following Busted's reunion in 2016.

"For the last 6 months Matt has been working on a documentary, which is airing on BBC1 tonight," Emma wrote in a post at the time. "It started out as a deep dive into the science around addiction and along the way became entwined with Matt’s own personal experience. It looks at addiction, but also at the affect it has on loved ones, on families. It looks at the way it affected us.

"Matt and I have always tried to keep ourselves as private as we can whilst working in a very public industry. So, as you can probably imagine, we’re incredibly nervous about this film going out into the world. Personally, it was tough to relive that period in our lives but it was also incredibly cathartic to talk through those dark days. As humans we’re all imperfect, and we shouldn’t feel like we have to hide certain parts of ourselves to be loved. Ultimately it was our love and hard graft that have got us to where we are now."

She went on to say: "Matt amazes me everyday with his resilience, strength and determination. He is everything to everyone around him and it astounds me that he cannot see what we all see in him. In making this documentary he hopes that by understanding himself he can help others struggling do the same. He hopes he encourages people to reach out and talk about addiction more, that he can change the way help is offered.

"In the doc he shares a piece from his gratitude journal and reads three sentences he always includes: ‘I am not my thoughts. I am worthy of love. I am enough.’ Matt, you’re more than enough and we love you."

She then shared a simple 'thank you' post following the airing of the hour-long filom, alongside which she wrote: "The response to Matt’s documentary has been overwhelming. Thank you all so so much for your kind messages and for sharing your own stories and experiences with addiction, I know that’s not always an easy thing to do. If you or someone you know is struggling, please do seek help. There are some organisations on the link in my bio that may be useful..."
