You'd like to think that Emma Bunton would just be 'Emma' to her closest pals but it appears she's Baby Spice to everybody, including her nearest and deareast. The singer appeared on The One Show on Wednesday night (September 28) to promote her upcoming string of shows.
Emma will be hitting the road later this year after a three-year hiatus due to the restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic. The Spice Girl performed a one-off Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019 but will now take the show on tour with stops in Manchester, Brighton, York, Birmingham and London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
The 46-year-old, who shot to fame in the 1990s with bandmates Mel Chisholm, Mel Brown, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, has previously said the Christmas-themed show will feature hits from her back catalogue, which includes seven UK top 10 hits, as well as Spice Girls favourites and classic Christmas tunes. She will also invite unnamed guest performers to the gig to perform a medley of songs during the event.

But while chatting to Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas, alongside fellow guest Alex Scott, on BBC's The One Show, host Alex decided to ask Emma about whether a rumour she heard was true. She asked if it was right that her pals get to "rummage" through her band memorabilia when they come over to her home.
The host said: "Is it true Emma, I was a massive Spice Girls fan growing but is it true when your girlfriends come over they love having a rummage in the vintage old Spice Girls clothes box?"
To which she replied: "Absolutely, in fact, they try things on I have a mic that I love from my tour and they go around the house singing in the mic and holding the awards and it's really lovely and we take pictures and videos too."
"It sounds like a dream," Alex quipped as Jermaine then joked to his co-host: "Are you asking for an invite?" Former footballer-turned-pundit Alex then said she'd take the mic while Alex could hold onto awards, which include Brits, MTV and Ivor Novello Awards.
And having Emma on the show of course meant they couldn't not ask about the Spice Girls' upcoming plans after it was revealed they were releasing a special new album to mark 25 years of 'Spice World'. Asked by Jermaine whether there was a chance the iconic girl group would perform at Glastonbury, Emma replied: “I would love it, I mean I really hope so.
"I haven’t had that email from Glastonbury asking yet – but it would work." She then added: "I want to go to Glastonbury to have fun, so if I could perform there as well that would be very nice."
