Emma Bunton said she's "heartbroken" she's unable to perform her Christmas tour, announcing that two gigs won't go ahead under medical advice.
The singer, 46, embarked on her Emma Bunton & Friends tour this week and was due to perform in York yesterday before a show in Birmingham tonight.
But she's been forced to cancel the shows after being struck down with illness with her doctor advising her not to perform.
Alongside a photo of herself looking teary-eyed, she wrote in a post on Instagram this afternoon: "I feel like I have let so many of you down today and it has left me heartbroken."
"With rest and medication I wake every morning with hope. Birmingham I am here but unfortunately won't be able to perform tonight under doctors orders," she continued.

Emma - who embarked on her Christmas tour earlier this week - added: "I am overwhelmed by all the support and love from my fans. Love you all very much".
She'd been due to perform at Symphony Hall in Birmingham tonight. The concert was planned as part of her Emma Bunton and Friends tour, which began just days ago.
The news about tonight's show comes after she announced yesterday that her performance at the York Barbican - scheduled for last night - would not go ahead as planned.
She wrote: "Please accept my sincere apologies, my Christmas show in York cannot go ahead tonight. I have been advised by my doctor that I am unable to perform".
The singer said that she was "absolutely devastated" by the news and added: "I'll see you all again very soon". She later issued a subsequent statement about the news.
"I've never in my whole cancer ever had to cancel a gig and I can't stop crying. I tried my hardest to make tonight happen. Thank you all for [your messages] of support," she said.
The tour has seen Emma perform songs from her solo career as well as some by the Spice Girls. She's been joined by "special guests" and also performed Christmas songs too.
Emma had performed in Manchester and Brighton earlier this week as part of the festive tour. It is scheduled to conclude with a show in London on Monday (December 19).
