The Prince and Princess of Wales took part in a welcoming ceremony for the Emir of Qatar as he began a two-day state visit to the UK on Tuesday.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the first of his three wives, Sheikha Jawaher, were greeted by the royal couple and King Charles during a ceremony of pomp and pageantry staged in Whitehall.
