Emily Ratajkowski says she is enjoying the 'freedom' of being single 'for the first time' as she is set to launch her own podcast

Top model Emily Ratajkowski has confirmed she is “newly single” amid rumours she is dating Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt.

The beauty was linked to Pitt last month after the pair was spotted hanging out together in New York, having dinner at Pearl Oyster Bar.

The 31-year-old has opened up about her split from Sebastian Bear-McClard, saying she is learning to “let go.”

“I’m newly single for basically the first time in my life ever, and I just feel like I’m kind of enjoying the freedom of not being super worried about how I’m being perceived,” the “My Body” author told Variety.

“One of the things I write about in the last essay of [“My Body”] is about control and kind of understanding that one of the best ways to actually be happy and have some semblance of control is letting go.

Emily has partnered with Sony Music Entertainment to launch her podcast, High Low With EmRata, which is a part-monologue, part-interview podcast series; twice a week.

It will explore everything from philosophy, politics, and feminism to sex, pop culture, and TikTok.

In a bonus third episode, Emily will engage with comments from listeners.

Speaking to The Cut, Emily revealed she is firmly in her ‘Bitch era’ since splitting with Bear-McClard.

“It might be longer than 2022, to be honest, because this year’s coming to an end and I have a whole lot of bitchiness to serve up.

“Generally speaking, I think anger is something all of us have a negative relationship to.

“At least for me, I associate it with masculinity and toxic masculinity and violence, even.

“But I think what the world could use is a healthy dose of female anger. It’s interesting with what we’re seeing in the world and what’s happening in Iran right now. Justified rage can be really productive.

“A lot of good things can come out of anger, and it doesn’t mean violence or toxic masculinity; it can just mean being a bitch. I like that word because it has this negative, derogatory [connotation].

“It’s a slur, but I’d like to say that, in the same way we’re thinking about how anger doesn’t have to be a negative thing, being a bitch doesn’t have to be a negative thing. It can just mean standing up for yourself.”
