Emerson Royal has struck up quite the relationship with Lucas Moura since his move to Tottenham last August. Starting the season with Barcelona after his time with Real Betis the previous campaign, the Brazilian linked up with Spurs at the end of the summer transfer window as Fabio Paratici finally brought in a new right-back.
Hailing from the same country, it was only natural to see Lucas help his new teammate settle into life in the capital, something he did the previous season following Carlos Vinicius' loan move from Benfica. Asked about the 29-year-old during in an interview on the Premier League's official YouTube channel, Emerson raved about the ex-PSG man and his "amazing potential".
“Lucas is a decisive player, he’s decisive. He’s got amazing potential and he can win a game at any moment,” he admitted.

Getting used to the pace and intensity of the Premier League since making his debut for the Lilywhites back in September, the 23-year-old has come up against a number of very good players. So who is the toughest opponent Emerson has faced in England's top flight?
“[Sadio] Mane. He’s so fast, so quick, strong and skilful. It’s not often you get a player like that with so much strength, speed and skill,” he explained. Lucas Moura was then asked about his toughest opponent in the Premier League and named a former Tottenham man.
"For me, Kyle Walker from [Man] City because he's very strong and quick as well," said the attacker. "For me, it's better when the opponent stays away from me because if he stays too close then it's difficult to come to the ball. If he gives me some space then I can come to the ball and face him and I can do my skills, so I prefer when I have a little bit of space."
