People in the UK have been warned about a siren that will sound from every mobile phone on April 23 as the Government tests its new emergency alert system.
And while it has been designed to attract attention, drivers have been instructed to avoid acknowledging the alert when behind the wheel.
Motorists have been instructed to ignore both the test run and further alarms should they occur, as it remains illegal to use a phone when driving - even if an alert sounds.
