The popular event will also include fun, free family friendly activities for people of all ages. It's also a great day out to learn about the excellent work done by Ireland's emergency services and frontline workers.

Representatives from each organisation will be on hand to demonstrate the equipment and answer any questions from those attending. Demonstrations will also be held on the day as well as safety talks for kids.

This year the popular event will take place in Dun Laoghaire Harbour, St. Michaels Pier (Ferry Compound), with gates open from 11am. As the summer season begins in earnest, there are expected to be a number of talks geared towards Water Safety on the day as well with advice and tips offered to the public.

The event is completely free, and all are welcome to attend the open day on Saturday, 1 July.
