Emergency services have rushed to a collision on a major road in Edinburgh during rush hour.
Traffic Scotland have reported that police are 'en-route' as of 6.45am on Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle collision on the A702.
Posting to Twitter, Traffic Scotland said that the incident has occured in the Hillend area. This comes as Edinburgh residents woke up to freezing temperatures and an icy start.
Police are on their way and Traffic Scotland add that the A702 and surrounding routes will continued to be gritted.
At 7.45am, it was confirmed that the road was partially blocked in both directions as police attend the scene. No injuries were reported.
By 8.45am, the road was cleared, although there was a 20 minute travel time for those heading northbound.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on the A702 between Hillend and Penicuik around 6.25am on Tuesday, 17 January.
"There were no reported injuries and recovery was arranged for the vehicles."
