A three-car smash on the M8 motorway has sparked disruption for drivers this morning.
The accident took place near to Junction 29 (St James Interchange) around 6:45am, and has blocked lane one of the motorway in the eastbound direction as a result.
Traffic Scotland have issued an alert to drivers in the area warning that traffic is already slow on approach.
Police and Scotland TranServ's Trunk Roads Incident Support Unit (TRISS) are currently en-route to the scene.
A tweet from Traffic Scotland read: "M8- J29 A three vehicle collision on the M8 between J29- J29A is currently blocking lane one (Of two). Police and TRISS are en-route. Traffic already slow on approach."
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
UPDATE: The collision has been moved to the hard shoulder and traffic is returning to normal.
