Emergency services race to East Lothian beach after concerned local spots person in sea

East Lothian HM Coastguard Berwick Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service

Emergency services and rescue teams raced to North Berwick beach after being alerted to a person possibly having difficulty in the water.

Eyewitness report seeing a number of coastguards rush to the harbour in the East Lothian town at around 6pm on Sunday evening, June 18.

HM Coastguard teams from Berwick and Eyemouth, a coastguard helicopter, Berwick RNLI lifeboat, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and Northumbria Police scrambled to the scene.
