Emergency services were called to a car fire on a busy road in Beeston. A fire crew responded to the incident a bridge near Meadow Road shortly after midday on Friday (July 22).
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue were seen at the scene of the fire on Lilac Grove. A photo from the scene taken by an eyewitness depicts a car left in the middle of the bridge.
The front of the car has been badly damaged, the picture shows. Firefighters were spotted on the bridge assisting following the incident.

One crew from Highfields used breathing apparatus and one water tender ladder to extinguish the fire. Partner agencies worked to control traffic around the incident.
The incident was cleared by 1pm, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed. A spokesperson for the service said: "We were called to a vehicle fire on Lilac Grove, Beeston, at 12:17 today (Friday 22 July). One crew from Highfields used breathing apparatus and one water tender ladder to extinguish the fire. Partner agencies worked to control traffic around the incident."
