A ground-floor fire broke out at a property in Mansfield.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 3.46pm on Monday (February 28) to a report of a house fire on Methuen Avenue.

Crews from Mansfield and Ashfield attended the incident.

The fire was found and crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a fan to extinguish the blaze.

The fire service said the incident was brought under control.
