Elton John's half-brother brought a ceremonial trident to court on Friday before he was fined for possession of magic mushrooms.
The music legend's estranged brother, Geoff Dwight, 56, of North Wales, pleaded guilty to possessing the Class A drugs at his home in December 2021.
He was today fined £120 and ordered to pay £119 in costs at Llandudno Magistrates' Court.
Dwight arrived at Llandudno Magistrates' Court carrying a trident on his shoulder, however, security refused Dwight entry with the object.
Elton John's half-brother claimed the trident said was a 'religious' pole representing Sheba and Britannia, but he was asked to leave the object outside the court before making his entry.
Explaining the trident upon leaving court, he said: "Brexit happened so we are sailing the high seas of the world again. If I were having to swear an oath, I would have sworn on it."
Prosecutor Justin Espie said the Class A drug, for personal use, was found during a search.
Defence solicitor Nia Dawson said of Dwight's drug possession: "The most disturbing part is the time it's taken for the matter to come to court, 13 months, it's unacceptable.
"A small amount of mushrooms were found on his premises. He had forgotten they were there. They are against the law."
Dwight's relationship with his famous brother broke down several years ago after he slammed Elton for 'vilifying' their father in his memoir.
Elton's half-brother slammed the star for playing the 'blame card' and unfairly demonising their dad.
Dwight spoke out after the pop veteran presented an unflattering picture of their family life in his autobiography, Me.
Elton says he was 'scared' of their dad Stanley Dwight, adding: “I don’t recall him ever coming to see me play live, or talking about music with him. What I was doing clearly wasn’t really his thing.”
However, his half-brother later told The Mirror: “I don’t understand because my mum, my dad and me, we all went to see him as his guests in Liverpool.
“That was definitely a concert, my dad was definitely there, he was definitely playing and we definitely watched it. I was five.
“Either he has got massive memory loss and he genuinely thinks his dad hasn’t seen him in concert or maybe he wants to believe that.”
