Renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk is set to make a special appearance at a rally alongside former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania this Saturday. Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, confirmed his attendance through a post on his social platform X, expressing his support for the event.
This rally will mark the first public appearance of Musk at a campaign event for Trump since he endorsed the former president back in July. Musk's endorsement came shortly after Trump survived an assassination attempt, with Musk publicly declaring his endorsement and well wishes for Trump's recovery.
In recent months, Musk has significantly increased his support for Trump and has shown a deeper involvement in political matters. He has even agreed to lead a government efficiency commission in the event of Trump's reelection. Additionally, Musk has established a super PAC to support the Republican nominee, focusing on boosting voter turnout in the final stages of the campaign.
The rally is scheduled to take place at the same location where Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt earlier this year. The incident resulted in the tragic death of Trump supporter Corey Comperatore and left several others injured. Family members of Comperatore, along with other attendees and first responders from the July rally, are expected to join Trump at the event.
Joining Trump at the rally will be his running mate, Republican Ohio Sen. JD Vance, as well as his son Eric Trump, daughter-in-law and RNC co-chair Lara Trump, and various Pennsylvania lawmakers and sheriffs. The campaign has confirmed the participation of these individuals in the upcoming event.
