DON'T MISS: Elon Musk Announces a Major Starlink Improvement
Now, it's available for purchase at Home Depot (HD).
Twitter user Nathan Owens (@VirtuallyNathan) posted a screenshot of a Home Depot website listing from Home Depot on Twitter.
The Starlink kit, in this instance, is selling at Home Depot for $599.
One promotional advantage is apparent for Starlink as it offers its products through the home improvement retailer.
"Home Depot sales could help SpaceX raise greater awareness among consumers about the satellite internet system, which beams high-speed broadband to rural and remote locations across the U.S.," wrote PC Magazine. "In addition, it gives consumers another way to quickly buy a spare Starlink dish, which only has a one-year warranty."
The kits on sale through Home Depot appear to only be available in areas where the Roam plan or the basic residential one is already in place.
Curious consumers can enter their home address on the Starlink website to check on availablity in specific areas.
Musk, who also owns electric vehicle maker Tesla (TSLA), shared a SpaceX tweet on March 15 announcing Starlink's new global roaming feature.
"Starlink now offers a global roaming option for customers traveling to locations where connectivity has been unreliable or completely unavailable," it said.
