The Philadelphia district attorney’s case against Elon Musk’s $1 million giveaway to voters is set to go to court on Thursday, a day earlier than originally scheduled. Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Angelo Foglietta has ordered that all parties involved must be present at the hearing, including Musk, the wealthiest individual in the world, and his political group, America PAC, who are both defendants in the civil lawsuit.
Earlier, the Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner's office requested clarification from the judge regarding Musk's personal attendance at the hearing. Musk's legal team may still attempt to exempt him from appearing in person. A spokesperson for Musk's pro-Trump super PAC declined to provide any comments on the matter.
The hearing, which carries significant implications, was initially planned for Friday. Krasner, a progressive Democrat, sought to expedite the legal process due to Musk's ongoing daily $1 million giveaway to voters.
