Elon Musk laughs off suggestion from Kanye West he is ‘half-Chinese genetic hybrid’

Elon Musk has laughed off suggestions by Kanye West that he is a “half-Chinese genetic hybrid”.

West, who has changed his name to ‘Ye’, has been thrown off Twitter after posting an image of a swastika inside a Star of David and praising Nazis, but continues to post on Instagram.

On his Instagram story the rapper asked: “Am I the only one thinks Elon could be half Chinese... take a Chinese genius and mate them with a South African super model and we have an Elon.”

He added: “I say ‘an Elon’ because they probably made 10 to 30 Elon’s and he’s the first genetic hybrid that stuck”.

Responding on Twitter, Mr Musk replied ‘I take that as a compliment’, before later simply tweeting: ‘Lmaooo’.

Mr Musk was asked about his decision to suspend West for inciting violence during a Twitter Space live event on Saturday.

“I personally wanted to punch Kanye, so that was definitely inciting me to violence,” he said.

Mr Musk had celebrated Mr West’s return to Twitter after personally reinstating the 45-year-old’s suspended account two weeks earlier.

He said it was his decision to suspend West, “because at some point you have to say what is incitement to violence because it is against the law in the US”.

“Posting swastikas in what obviously is not a good way is an incitement to violence.”

West has said he is running for president in the 2024 election. He has been shunned by commercial partners such as Adidas and Balenciaga since.
