Elon Musk isn't serious about his Zuckerberg fight

No one but Elon Musk's staunchest supporters still believes he really wants smoke with Meta Platforms (META) -) CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg has been training in jiu jitsu and other forms of hand-to-hand combat for at least a year and recently completed the Murph Challenge -- which includes a 1 mile run, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats and another 1 mile run... in a 20 pound vest -- in under 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, Musk seems to spend most of his free time memeing on Twitter, though he does admit that he thrives off of less than the doctor-recommended eight hours of sleep per night, and if you believe his tweets, he is more than ready to fight Musk.

Musk planned to use "the fight" to show off Tesla's (TSLA) -) full-self driving technology in an urban setting, while using X's -- formerly Twitter -- new livestream video platform, killing two advertising birds with one stone.

Zuckerberg has previously targeted an August 26 date for the fight and has suggested the two billionaire social media owners meet up in his backyard, suggesting how serious he is about the matchup.

Meanwhile, Musk has proposed holding the fight in the Roman Colosseum and livestreaming it on X, to show how unserious he is about the fight.

But don't tell that to Musk's cheerleading section on X. They're convinced Zuckerberg is the one running from the fight.

(Zuck thread coming soon about how he would of course love to fight anytime, but blah blah UFC something somethin)," Musk tweeted
