Ashley St. Clair has said she was offered a financial arrangement worth about US$40 million in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement related to her relationship with Elon Musk, a claim that has drawn fresh attention as Alex Gibney's new documentary, Musk, premiered at the Venice Film Festival.

The influencer and mother of one of Musk's children said she turned down the deal and chose to speak publicly instead, prompting online debate about why such a large sum was allegedly proposed.
