Newcastle have secured the signatures of Adam Elliott and Jack Hetherington for the 2023 season, with the forwards both committing to the Knights on three-year deals.
Elliott, who was axed by Canterbury following a string of off-field incidents last year, arrives from Canberra.
The 27-year-old has played 113 NRL games since debuting in 2016.
Hetherington, who is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, joins from Canterbury, having already played for Penrith and the Warriors over his 43-game NRL career.
"They bring versatility, leg speed and a strong physical presence to our pack, with skillsets that suit the modern game," said Knights football boss Danny Buderus.
"They share a hard-working attitude and a will to win, they both compete on every moment and that's a great fit for the Newcastle Knights. "
