Ellen Keane wins silver at World Championships as Nicole Turner snatches bronze

Ellen Keane has scooped silver at the World Championships in her 100m breaststroke.

The Dubliner had a big final 50 metres as she managed to finish in second place at the World Para Swimming Championships final.

Putting in an impressive 22.02, Keane was beaten by Spain's Anastasiya Dmitriv.

And the silver medal will be all the sweeter for Keane who recently contracted Covid-19, leaving her World Championship bid in doubt.

Nicole Turner also captured bronze in her 50 m butterfly final.

Turner finished behind Ellie Marks and Sara Vargas Blanco to get her second bronze of the championships.
