Manchester United star Ella Toone is looking forward to the occasion of returning to Old Trafford when they take on Aston Villa this weekend.
Marc Skinner's side will hope to continue their title fight with a victory over Villa in front of a club stadium WSL record attendance. It will be the first time United Women have played at the Theatre of Dreams since the win over Everton back in March.
Toone, who has been in exceptional form for both club and country this year, is hopeful of another big crowd this weekend.
“It’s really amazing to see how far the women’s game has come and to really be a part of it," she said. "So for me being that role model is really special and something that I really take in my stride and want to be. Hopefully we can just get even more people in the crowd.”
“Occasions like this where we can have so many more fans in the stadiums and our families and friends watching us at such a big stadium, it’s going to be really exciting and we can’t wait.”
With more than 30,000 tickets sold, Saturday’s game against Aston Villa (12.30pm kick-off) has already surpassed the previous Old Trafford WSL attendance record. Don't miss the chance to be there, get your tickets now. Visit here.
