Ella Bruccoleri is stepping into a leading role in The Other Bennet Sister

Ella Bruccoleri would rather not give her age in interviews. “I’m not going to tell you, sorry!” she laughs. “I think it’s out there now. But I’ve managed to hide it for a very long time.” “Not that I’m ashamed of my age,” she adds. “I feel very empowered at the age I am.”

But that intentional vagueness has helped her get a variety of roles — such as The Other Bennet Sister, the upcoming BBC One show in which she plays none other than Mary Bennet.
