Earlier this year, retired New York Giants legend Eli Manning hosted the 2023 Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Classic. It was one of the many charitable events he’s taken part in since he began working with the organization back in 2006.
When Manning was named the 2016 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year alongside Larry Fitzgerald, it was, in part, due to his work with Guiding Eyes.
The NFL star quarterback and two-time Super Bowl Champion is a long-time supporter of Guiding Eyes, which provides expertly-trained guide dogs to people with visual impairment, at no cost, allowing individuals and families to experience greater independence. The golf outing and dinner program was filled with golf, food & prizes and, of course, amazing dogs – all in support of the inspiring mission of Guiding Eyes for the Blind and to celebrate past program graduates, blind and visually impaired golfers, volunteers, and donors.
Manning, who was named to the organization’s board of directors in 2020, is now asking fans to join him this September for the 2023 Guiding Eyes for the Blind Wagathon.
Join my team, “Eli Manning & Friends”, to support @GuidingEyes in providing exceptional guide dogs to people with vision loss. You & your pup walk or run anywhere through Sept. 30 – while raising funds for this life-changing mission.

Whether you have a dog or not, you can participate in the monthlong event:
The WAGATHON is a cumulative marathon that you and your dog can do anywhere, at your own pace over the month of September. The goal is to hit 26.2 miles by September 30th – participation is simple, whether you run or walk a 5K, a 10K, a half or full marathon, the goal is to have FUN all while raising critical funds to support Guiding Eyes for the Blind’s mission – to provide guide dogs to people with vision loss.
No pup? No problem! Walk or run in honor of one of our puppies and help them on their journey to becoming a guide dog.
