A retail giant made a welcome donation to a group of life-saving volunteers in East Kilbride.
Electrical retailer, Currys, handed over a laptop to the East Kilbride volunteer group of St Andrew’s First Aid, Scotland’s only dedicated first aid charity.
After noticing that their existing IT equipment was failing, Naomi Sutton, community engagement officer at St Andrew’s First Aid, reached out to Allan Walker from the Currys in Uddingston, who kindly donated the laptop.
The new laptop will support the East Kilbride company to deliver St Andrew’s First Aid’s extensive community engagement programme through talks and demonstrations to local groups as well as the wider community.
Naomi told Lanarkshire Live : “Providing training to local communities is extremely important to us and we’re very grateful to Currys for the generous donation.
"The team’s IT capacity was failing, which was having a direct impact on their community work.
"The team is looking forward to getting back on track with their shiny new laptop.”
