Electric Picnic 2022: Surprising items you didn't know were banned from weekend festival

It’s only a matter of time before we’re in our wellies and doing the long walk to the Electric Picnic campsite. The festival kicks off on Friday, September 2, finishing up on Sunday, September 4.

But there are a lot of items that will be confiscated from you when you walk through those entrance gates and you don’t want to get caught out. Glass bottles, such as litres of vodka, gin and whiskey are not allowed on the Stradbally campsite - don’t bring beer or cider bottles either. Large aerosols, like hairspray and deodorant are also banned.

Excessive amounts of food, cigarettes and alcohol may be confiscated too. There is an alcohol limit of 48 cans of alcohol per person - any alcohol you bring with you can only be consumed on the campsites and you cannot carry it into the main arena.
