Electric car owners have suffered a 42% cost increase in just four months when it comes to using public rapid charge points.
It means those who decided to switch from fuel to electric amid the Ukraine crisis and soaring fuel prices are likely forking out more than they had anticipated.
Since May, the average driver is paying 18.75p more per kilowatt hour (kWh) when using such chargers on a pay as you go basis – reaching 63.29p per kWh – according to the RAC.
