Electric bikes coming to city centre streets in push to make Leeds 'a city where you don't need a car'

A new public electric bike hire scheme could be introduced in Leeds in a bid to make the city somewhere “you don’t need to own a car.”

Leeds City Council chiefs are being asked to approve a £2 million funding bid for the project, in a push to tackle the climate crisis.

Senior councillors will be discussing the funding bid at Leeds Civic Hall on Wednesday, February 9.
