Election results from South Ribble local council election 2023 count in full

Voters in South Ribble, Lancashire, have had their say in the 2023 local elections.

South Ribble Borough Council is made up of 23 wards with 50 elected councillors. Every seat is up for grabs at this year's election as local council votes only take place in the borough once every four years.

The wards electing two councillors are: St Ambrose, Buckshaw & Worden, Farington East, Coupe Green & Gregson Lane, Broad Oak, Earnshaw Bridge, Leyland Central, Seven Stars, Hoole, Farington West, Samlesbury & Walton, Walton-le-Dale East, Moss Side, Walton-le-Dale West, Charnock, Bamber Bridge East, Bamber Bridge West, Broadfield and New Longton & Hutton East.

The wards electing three councillors are: Lostock Hall, Middleforth, Howick & Priory and Longton & Hutton West.

Ahead of the election, South Ribble Borough Council was run by the Labour Party.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK. Mayoral elections are also taking place in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesborough.

Voters were only electing their local councillors in this election with the next General Election not scheduled until 28 January 2025 at the very latest.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 4, with the count for South Ribble Borough Council taking place on Friday.
