Elderslie incident sparks emergency service response as boats search river

Emergency services are currently at the scene of an ongoing incident in Elderslie, Renfrewshire, as boats have been brought in to search a river.

Multiple police cars, a fire engine, a water rescue service vehicle and an ambulance have all been on site since Sunday, March 26. They camped out on Glen Gardens, just off Main Road, as a search operation continues.

The road is situated next to the Old Patrick Water where it is thought teams have been searching, the Daily Record reports.

“Officers were called to the location around 6.15 pm on Sunday, March 26. No further details at this time."
