Elderly woman killed in Dublin murder probe named locally as Mary Bergin

The victim of an alleged murder in Dublin has been named locally as Mary Bergin.

The woman, in her 80s, was found dead at a house on Seville Place, Dublin 1, at around 11.50am on Wednesday, with Gardai launching a murder probe shortly after. Another woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Mary, also known as Maura, was known for being very involved with the church and was a great help in the community. And locals told Dublin Live that they are reeling from the horrific news.
