A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital after a driver crashed a Tesla into a furniture store in Bristol. An eyewitness told Bristol Live that the black Tesla model "went flying into the window" of Arlo & Jacob on Whiteladies Road in Clifton around 4.30pm, although it is understood the woman behind the wheel does not remember anything from the incident.
The elderly driver smashed the vehicle through the store but managed to escape any injuries. She was however treated by ambulance crews as a precaution following the incident but not taken to hospital*.
A younger woman was also treated at the scene by ambulance services and taken to the hospital, but her injuries are also not believed to be serious.

Avon and Somerset Police received the call-out at 4.37pm after hearing reports that a vehicle had been in a collision with the front of a shop. Avon Fire and Rescue Service were also present on the scene throughout the incident.
A cordon was placed around the scene while the southbound carriageway of Whiteladies Road was closed while emergency services attended the scene. Traffic coped well throughout the duration.
An image taken from outside the store shows smashed glass on the floor of the building with the Tesla driven far into the store with brake lights illuminated.
Arlo & Jacob is a luxury furniture store and one of their sofas can be seen in pieces in the image. Alongside this, the entrance to the building can be seen evidently broken.
*An earlier version of this story reported that the elderly driver was taken to hospital, which has since been amended. The fire service has clarified that it was a woman in her 30s who was injured and taken to hospital.
