Elderly man found dead in Aberdeen after police receive concern for person call

An elderly man has been found dead after police received a concern for a person call this afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to Deansloch Crescent, Aberdeen, shortly before 5pm on Monday.

Police officers attended but sadly an elderly man was found dead within the property.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Concerned locals reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area following the incident, with police earlier blocking the road.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50 pm on Thursday, 1 September 2022, police received a concern for person call at a property in Deansloch Crescent, Aberdeen.

“Officers attended and an elderly man was found dead within.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the PF.”
