We might not have The Elder Scrolls 6 yet, but that's all right – a talented Elden Ring modder is working to get one of Bethesda Game Studios' classics to us instead, bringing Morrowind to FromSoftware's own fantasy RPG.
In case you've not heard of the big project yourself, legendary Halo and Elden Ring modder InfernoPlus has been working to port Morrowind to Elden Ring for quite some time now – heck, he first unveiled his plans in 2025, explaining that he was "about halfway done."
A good while has passed since then without much word from the creator, but a new update from InfernoPlus proves the mod is indeed still happening. Explaining the current state of the project in a YouTube video, he dubs it "the most complex mod ever created" – and, yeah, I can see why. Morrowind is 24 years old, and Elden Ring is, you know, a completely separate game.
"It's been some months since the last update, and we have made tremendous progress on the mod," InfernoPlus says. "Many things that I thought would be impossible have taken shape, and the game has entered a fairly playable state."
